If you are considering the purchase of a Miniature Schnauzer puppy please "Buyer Beware". There are a number of on-line *pups for bucks* breeders with fancy websites and the numbers are growing daily. Please do your research prior to buying any puppy to ensure that you are buying a healthy puppy, that is of good temperament and meets the written standard for the breed. Your new puppy should come with a written guarantee that withstands the expiration of inheritable diseases (minimum 5-6 years) and should be registerable with either the Canadian Kennel Club or the American Kennel Club. What you may end up saving in the purchase price now, may cost you many times more in the future. Demand a written guarantee against inherited health defects and do not provide your purchase price until such time as you have a signed guarantee. Unless you know the seller personally, it is highly recommended that you pick your puppy up in person from the premises of the individual and complete the purchase at that time.
Here are some links to help you with your research, in particular, read the written breed standard, health issues and look at the pictures to see what a Miniature Schnauzer SHOULD look like.
